1|Cor.|11:1|-||1|Be |a|imitators of |2|me, as I also am |b|of Christ.
1|Cor.|11:2|-|But I |a|praise you because in all things you have |b|remembered me and hold fast the |1c|things that I have handed down even as I handed |1|them down to you.
1|Cor.|11:3|-|But I want you to know that |1|Christ is the |a|head of every man, and the |2|man is the |b|head of the woman, and |3|God is the |c|head of Christ.
1|Cor.|11:4|-|Every man praying or |1a|prophesying with his head covered |2|disgraces his head.
1|Cor.|11:5|-|But every woman |a|praying or |b|prophesying with her head |1|uncovered disgraces her head; for it is one and the same as she who is |2c|shaved.
1|Cor.|11:6|-|For if a woman is not covered, let her hair also be cut off; but if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut off or to be shaved, |1|let her be covered.
1|Cor.|11:7|-|For a man ought not to have his head covered, since he is |1|God’s |a|image and glory; but the woman is the |2b|glory of the man.
1|Cor.|11:8|-|For man is not out of woman, but |1|woman |a|out of man;
1|Cor.|11:9|-|For also man was not |1|created for the sake of the woman, but |2a|woman for the sake of the man.
1|Cor.|11:10|-|Therefore the woman ought to have a |1|sign of submission to |a|authority on her head for the |2|sake of the |b|angels.
1|Cor.|11:11|-|However neither is woman without man, nor man without woman, |1|in the Lord.
1|Cor.|11:12|-|For just as the woman is |1|out from the man, so also is the man |1|through the woman; but |a|all things are out from God.
1|Cor.|11:13|-||a|Judge this in your own selves: Is it fitting for a woman to pray uncovered to God?
1|Cor.|11:14|-|Does not even |1|nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him,
1|Cor.|11:15|-|But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, because her long hair has been given to her for a covering.
1|Cor.|11:16|-|But if anyone seems to be contentious, we do not have |1|such a custom of being so, neither the |2a|churches of God.
1|Cor.|11:17|-||1|But I give you |2|this charge and do not |a|praise you, because you |b|come together not for the better but for the worse.
1|Cor.|11:18|-|For first of all, when you come together |1a|in the church, I hear that |b|divisions exist among you; and some part of it I believe.
1|Cor.|11:19|-|For there must even be |1|parties among you, that those who are |2|approved may become |3|manifest among you.
1|Cor.|11:20|-|When therefore you come together in the same place, it is not to eat the |1|Lord’s supper;
1|Cor.|11:21|-|For in your eating, each one takes his own |1|supper first, and one is hungry and the other is drunk.
1|Cor.|11:22|-|Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the |a|church of God and |b|put those to shame who have not? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this I do not |c|praise you.
1|Cor.|11:23|-|For I |a|received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus |b|in the night in which He was |1c|betrayed |d|took bread,
1|Cor.|11:24|-|And having given thanks, He |1|broke it and said, This is My body, which is given for you; this do |2|unto the |3|remembrance of Me.
1|Cor.|11:25|-|Similarly also the cup after they had dined, saying, This |1|cup is the |a|new covenant established in My blood; this do, as often as you |2|drink it, unto the remembrance of Me.
1|Cor.|11:26|-|For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you |1|declare the Lord’s death |2|until He |a|comes.
1|Cor.|11:27|-|So then whoever |a|eats the |b|bread or |a|drinks the |b|cup of the Lord in an |1|unworthy manner will |2|be guilty of the body and of the |c|blood of the Lord.
1|Cor.|11:28|-|But let a man |1a|prove himself, and in this way let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
1|Cor.|11:29|-|For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks |1|judgment to himself if he does not |2|discern |3|the body.
1|Cor.|11:30|-|Because of |1|this many among you are |2|weak and sick, and a number |3a|sleep.
1|Cor.|11:31|-|But if we |1|discerned ourselves, we would not be judged.
1|Cor.|11:32|-|But being |1|judged by the Lord, we are |a|disciplined that we may not be |2b|condemned with the world.
1|Cor.|11:33|-|So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, |1|wait for one another.
1|Cor.|11:34|-|If anyone is hungry, let him eat at |a|home, that you may not come together for judgment. And the |1|rest I will set in order when I |b|come.
