1|John|3:1|-||1|Behold what manner of |2a|love the |3|Father has given to us, that we should be called |4b|children of God; and we are. |5|Because of this the world does not |6|know us, |7|because it did not |c|know Him.
1|John|3:2|-|Beloved, now we are children of God, and |1|it has not yet been manifested what we will be. We |2|know that if |3|He is |a|manifested, we will be |b|like Him because we will |4c|see Him even as |3|He is.
1|John|3:3|-|And everyone who has |1|this |a|hope set on Him |2b|purifies himself, even as |3c|He is pure.
1|John|3:4|-|Everyone who |1a|practices sin practices |2|lawlessness also, and |b|sin is lawlessness.
1|John|3:5|-|And you know that He was |a|manifested that He might |1|take away |b|sins; and sin is not in |2|Him.
1|John|3:6|-|Everyone who |1a|abides in Him |2b|does not sin; everyone who |3|sins |4|has |c|not seen Him or |d|known Him.
1|John|3:7|-||1|Little children, let no one |2a|lead you astray; he who |3b|practices righteousness is |4c|righteous, even as He is |d|righteous;
1|John|3:8|-|He who |1a|practices sin is of the |2b|devil, because the devil has |1|sinned |3|from the beginning. |4|For this purpose the Son of God was |c|manifested, that He might |5d|destroy the works of the devil.
1|John|3:9|-|Everyone who has been |1|begotten of God does |2|not practice sin, because His |3a|seed |b|abides in him; and he |4|cannot sin, because he has been begotten of God.
1|John|3:10a|-||1|In this the |a|children of God and the |b|children of the devil are manifest.
1|John|3:10b|-|Everyone who does not |c|practice righteousness is not of God, neither he who |d|does not |2|love his brother.
1|John|3:11|-|For this is the |1|message which you |a|heard |2|from the beginning, that we should |3b|love one another,
1|John|3:12|-|Not as |a|Cain was |1|of the |2b|evil one and |c|slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his works were evil, and his brother’s, |d|righteous.
1|John|3:13|-|Do not marvel, brothers, if the |1|world |a|hates you.
1|John|3:14|-|We know that we have |a|passed out of |1|death into life because we |b|love the brothers. He who |c|does |2|not love abides in death.
1|John|3:15|-|Everyone who |1a|hates his brother is a |2b|murderer, and you know that no murderer has |c|eternal life abiding in him.
1|John|3:16|-|In this we know love, that |a|He |b|laid down His |1|life on our behalf, and we ought to |c|lay down our |2|lives on behalf of the brothers.
1|John|3:17|-|But whoever has the livelihood of the world and sees that his brother has |a|need and |b|shuts up his |1|affections from him, how does the |2c|love of God abide in him?
1|John|3:18|-||1|Little children, let us not |a|love in word nor in tongue but in |2|deed and |3b|truthfulness.
1|John|3:19|-|And in this we will know that we are of the |1|truth, and we will |2|persuade our heart before Him,
1|John|3:20|-|Because if our |1|heart |a|blames us, it is because God is |b|greater than our heart and |c|knows all things.
1|John|3:21|-|Beloved, if our |a|heart does not blame us, we have |1b|boldness |c|toward God;
1|John|3:22|-|And |1|whatever we |a|ask we receive from Him because we |2b|keep His commandments and |3|do the things that are |c|pleasing in His sight.
1|John|3:23|-|And this is His |1a|commandment, that we |b|believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ and |c|love one another, even as He gave a commandment to us.
1|John|3:24|-|And he who |a|keeps His commandments |1b|abides |c|in Him, and |2|He in him. And in this we know that He abides in us, |3|by the |4d|Spirit whom He gave to us.
