XII. |Concerning slaves and money lovers6:1-10

1|Tim.|6:1|-|As many as are |a|slaves under the yoke should regard their own masters as worthy of all honor, lest the |b|name of God and |1|our |c|teaching be |2|blasphemed.
1|Tim.|6:2|-|And those who have believing masters should not despise them, because they are |a|brothers; but rather they should |1|serve them, because those who recompense them for the kindly service received are believers and beloved. These things |b|teach and |c|exhort.
1|Tim.|6:3|-|If anyone teaches |1a|different things and does not consent to |2b|healthy words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the teaching which is according to |3c|godliness,
1|Tim.|6:4|-|He is |1a|blinded with pride, understanding |b|nothing, but is |2|diseased with |c|questionings and |d|contentions of words, out of which come |e|envy, |f|strife, |3|slanders, evil suspicions,
1|Tim.|6:5|-||1|Perpetual wranglings of men |a|corrupted in mind and |2|deprived of the |3|truth, |4|supposing |b|godliness to be a means of |c|gain.
1|Tim.|6:6|-|But |a|godliness with |1b|contentment is |2c|great gain;
1|Tim.|6:7|-|For |1|we have brought |a|nothing into the world, because |b|neither can we carry anything out.
1|Tim.|6:8|-|But having |a|food and |1|covering, with these we will be |2b|content.
1|Tim.|6:9|-|But those who |1|intend to be |a|rich fall into temptation and a |b|snare and many foolish and harmful |2|desires, which |3|plunge men into |4|destruction and ruin.
1|Tim.|6:10|-|For the |a|love of money is |1|a root of all evils, because of which some, |2|aspiring after money, have |3|been |b|led away from the |4c|faith and pierced themselves through with many pains.

XIII. |A man of God6:11-21a

1|Tim.|6:11|-|But you, O |1a|man of God, |b|flee these things, and |c|pursue |2d|righteousness, |3e|godliness, |4f|faith, |5|love, |6|endurance, |7|meekness.
1|Tim.|6:12|-||1a|Fight the good fight of the |b|faith; lay |c|hold on the |2|eternal life, |3|to which you were |d|called and have |4e|confessed the good confession before many |f|witnesses.
1|Tim.|6:13|-|I |a|charge you before God, who preserves all things in life, and Christ Jesus, who |b|testified the good confession before |c|Pontius Pilate,
1|Tim.|6:14|-|To keep |1|the commandment spotless, |a|without reproach, until the |2b|appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1|Tim.|6:15|-||1|Which in |a|its own times |2|the |b|blessed and |c|only Sovereign will show, the |d|King of those who reign as kings and |e|Lord of those who rule as lords,
1|Tim.|6:16|-|Who alone has |a|immortality, dwelling in unapproachable |b|light, whom |c|no man has seen nor can see, to whom be |d|honor and eternal |e|might. Amen.
1|Tim.|6:17|-||a|Charge those who are rich in the |b|present age not to be |c|high-minded, nor to set their |d|hope on the |e|uncertainty of riches but on God, who |f|affords us all things |g|richly for our enjoyment;
1|Tim.|6:18|-|To do |1a|good, to be |2b|rich in good works, to be ready to |c|distribute, to be ones willing to share;
1|Tim.|6:19|-||a|Laying away for themselves a good |b|foundation as a |c|treasure for the |1|future, that they may lay |d|hold on |2|that which is really life.
1|Tim.|6:20|-|O Timothy, |a|guard the |1|deposit, |b|turning away from |c|profane, |d|vain babblings and oppositions from |2|what is falsely called knowledge,
1|Tim.|6:21a|-|Because of which some, professing this, have |1a|misaimed regarding the |b|faith.|c|

XIV. |Conclusion6:21b

1|Tim.|6:21b|-|Grace be with you.
