Acts|11:1|-|And the apostles and the |a|brothers who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
Acts|11:2|-|And when Peter went up to Jerusalem, those of the |1a|circumcision disputed with him,
Acts|11:3|-|Saying, You went in to men who are uncircumcised and |a|ate |b|with them.
Acts|11:4|-|And Peter began, and he explained to them in sequence, saying,
Acts|11:5|-|I was in the city of Joppa |a|praying, and I saw in a trance a vision, a certain vessel like a great sheet descending, being let down by four corners out of heaven; and it came unto me.
Acts|11:6|-|Looking intently into it, I examined it and saw the four-footed animals of the earth and the wild beasts and the reptiles and the birds of heaven.
Acts|11:7|-|And I also heard a voice saying to me, Rise up, Peter; slay and eat!
Acts|11:8|-|But I said, By no means, Lord, for no common or unclean thing has ever entered into my mouth.
Acts|11:9|-|And a voice answered a second time out of heaven, The things that God has cleansed, do not make common.
Acts|11:10|-|And this occurred three times, and everything was drawn up again into heaven.
Acts|11:11|-|And behold, at that moment three men stood at the house in which we were, having been sent from Caesarea to me.
Acts|11:12|-|And the Spirit told me to go with them, |1|doubting nothing. And |2|these |a|six brothers went with me also; and we entered into the man’s house.
Acts|11:13|-|And he reported to us how he saw the angel standing in his house and saying, Send men to Joppa and send for Simon, who is surnamed Peter,
Acts|11:14|-|Who will speak words to you by which you shall be saved, you and all your |1|house.
Acts|11:15|-|And as I began to speak, the Holy |a|Spirit fell on them just as also on us |b|in the beginning.
Acts|11:16|-|And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, |a|John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Acts|11:17|-|If therefore God has given to them the equal |a|gift |b|as also to us who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, |c|who was I that I could have forbidden God?
Acts|11:18|-|And when they heard these things, they became silent and |a|glorified God, saying, Then to the |b|Gentiles also God has given |c|repentance unto |1|life.
Acts|11:19|-|Those then who were |1a|scattered by the tribulation which took place on account of Stephen passed through as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to |2|no one except Jews only.
Acts|11:20|-|But there were some of them, |1|men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who came to Antioch and |2|spoke also to the |a|Greeks, |b|announcing the Lord Jesus as the gospel.
Acts|11:21|-|And the |a|hand of the Lord was with them, and a |b|great number who believed |c|turned to the Lord.
Acts|11:22|-|And the account concerning them was heard in the ears of the |a|church which was in Jerusalem, and they |1|sent out |2|Barnabas to pass through as far as Antioch,
Acts|11:23|-|Who, when he arrived and saw the |1a|grace of God, |b|rejoiced and encouraged them all to |2|remain with the Lord with |c|purpose of heart;
Acts|11:24|-|For he was a good man and |1|full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a |a|considerable |2|number was |b|added to the Lord.
Acts|11:25|-|And he went forth to |a|Tarsus to search for Saul;
Acts|11:26|-|And when he found him, he brought him to |a|Antioch. And it happened with them that for a whole year they were gathered in the |b|church and taught a considerable number and that the disciples were first called |1c|Christians in Antioch.
Acts|11:27|-|And in these days |1a|prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
Acts|11:28|-|And one of them named |a|Agabus rose up and signified through the |b|Spirit that there was about to be a great |c|famine over the whole inhabited earth, which occurred during the time of |1d|Claudius.
Acts|11:29|-|And the |1|disciples, according to how one was |2|prospered, determined, each one of them, to |a|send things |3|for |b|dispensing to the |c|brothers dwelling in Judea,
Acts|11:30|-|Which also they did, sending it to the |1a|elders through the hand of |b|Barnabas and |2|Saul.
