Acts|14:1|-|And in |a|Iconium they entered together |1|into the |2b|synagogue of the Jews and spoke in such a way that a great multitude of both Jews and Greeks believed.
Acts|14:2|-|But the Jews who were |a|disobedient |b|stirred up and ill-affected the |1|minds of the Gentiles against the |c|brothers.
Acts|14:3|-|Therefore they spent a considerable amount of time speaking with |a|boldness in the Lord, who |b|testified to the word of His |1c|grace by granting |2d|signs and wonders to be done through their hands.
Acts|14:4|-|But the multitude of the city was |a|divided, and |b|some were with the Jews and some with the apostles.
Acts|14:5|-|And when a hostile attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jews with their rulers to treat the apostles |a|outrageously and to |b|stone them,
Acts|14:6|-|They became aware of it and |a|fled to the cities of Lycaonia, |b|Lystra and |c|Derbe, and the surrounding region.
Acts|14:7|-|And there they |a|announced the gospel.
Acts|14:8|-|And in Lystra a certain man was sitting, without strength in his feet, |a|lame from his mother’s womb, who had never walked.
Acts|14:9|-|This man heard Paul speaking, who, looking intently at him and seeing that he had |a|faith to be |1|healed,
Acts|14:10|-|Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on your feet. And he |a|leaped up and began to walk.
Acts|14:11|-|And when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice, saying in Lycaonian, The |a|gods have become like men and have come down to us.
Acts|14:12|-|And they called Barnabas, |1|Zeus, and Paul, |2|Hermes, since he was the one who took the lead in the discourse.
Acts|14:13|-|And the priest of Zeus, whose temple was before the city, brought bulls and garlands to the gates and wanted to offer a sacrifice with the crowds.
Acts|14:14|-|But when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard this, they |a|tore their garments and rushed out into the crowd, crying out
Acts|14:15|-|And saying, |1|Men, why are you doing these things? We also are |a|men of |b|like feeling as you, and |c|announce the gospel to you that you should turn from these |2d|vain things |e|to the |f|living God, who |g|made heaven and earth and the sea and all things in them;
Acts|14:16|-|Who in the generations |a|gone by |b|allowed all the nations to go their ways.
Acts|14:17|-|And yet He did |a|not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good by giving you |b|rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling your |c|hearts with |d|food and gladness.
Acts|14:18|-|And saying these things, they restrained the crowds only with difficulty from offering sacrifices to them.
Acts|14:19|-|But |a|Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having |b|persuaded the crowds, they |c|stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, supposing that he was dead.
Acts|14:20|-|But as the disciples surrounded him, he rose up and entered into the city. And on the next day he went out with Barnabas to |a|Derbe.
Acts|14:21a|-|And when they had |a|announced the gospel to that city and had made a considerable number of |b|disciples,
Acts|14:21b|-|they returned to |c|Lystra and to |d|Iconium and to |e|Antioch,
Acts|14:22|-||a|Establishing the |1|souls of the disciples, exhorting them to |2b|continue in the |3c|faith and saying that through many |d|tribulations we must enter into the |4e|kingdom of God.
Acts|14:23|-|And when they had appointed |1a|elders for them |2|in every |b|church and had prayed with |c|fastings, they |d|committed them to the Lord into whom they had believed.
Acts|14:24|-|And they passed through Pisidia and came to |a|Pamphylia.
Acts|14:25a|-|And when they had spoken the word|1| in Perga,
Acts|14:25b|-|they came down to Attalia.
Acts|14:26|-|And from there they sailed away to |a|Antioch, where they had been commended to the |1|grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
Acts|14:27|-|And when they |1|arrived and |2|gathered the |a|church together, they |b|declared the things that God had done with them and that He had |c|opened a door of faith to the |d|Gentiles.
Acts|14:28|-|And they spent no little time there with the disciples.
