Acts|18:2|-|And having found a certain Jew named |a|Aquila, a native of |b|Pontus, recently come from |c|Italy, and Priscilla his wife (because |1d|Claudius had ordered all the Jews to depart from |e|Rome), he went to them.
Acts|18:3|-|And because he was of the same trade, he remained with them and |a|worked; for they were tentmakers by trade.
Acts|18:4|-|And he reasoned |1|in the |2a|synagogue every |3|Sabbath, persuading Jews and |4b|Greeks.
Acts|18:5|-|And |1|when both Silas and |a|Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was |2|constrained by the word, solemnly |b|testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the |c|Christ.
Acts|18:6|-|But when they resisted and |a|blasphemed, he |b|shook out his garments and said to them, Your |c|blood be upon your head; I am clean. From now on I will |1|go to the |d|Gentiles.
Acts|18:7|-|And he left there and went into the house of one named Titius Justus, one who |a|worshipped God, whose house was next to the synagogue.
Acts|18:8|-|And |a|Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with his whole |1b|household; and many of the Corinthians, when they heard, believed and were baptized.
Acts|18:9|-|And the Lord said to Paul in the |a|night by a |1|vision, Do |b|not be afraid, but speak and do not be silent;
Acts|18:10|-|Because I Myself am |a|with you, and no one will assail you to harm you, because I have many |b|people in this city.
Acts|18:11|-|And he |1|remained there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
Acts|18:12|-|But while Gallio was |a|proconsul of Achaia, the |b|Jews rose up against Paul with one accord and |c|brought him to the judgment seat,
Acts|18:13|-|Saying, This man incites men to worship God contrary to the law.
Acts|18:14|-|But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, If it were a matter of wrongdoing or some wicked crime, O Jews, I would for that reason tolerate you;
Acts|18:15|-|But if there are |a|questions concerning words and names and your own |b|law, look after it yourselves. A judge of these things I do not intend to be.
Acts|18:16|-|And he drove them away from the judgment seat.
Acts|18:17|-|And they all laid hold of |1|Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the judgment seat. And Gallio was not concerned about any of these things.
Acts|18:18|-|And Paul, having remained there yet a considerable number of days, took leave of the brothers and sailed away to Syria, and with him Priscilla and |a|Aquila, having |b|shorn his head in |c|Cenchrea, for he had a |1|vow.
Acts|18:19|-|And they arrived at |a|Ephesus, and he left them there; but he |1|entered into the |b|synagogue and reasoned with the Jews.

Acts|18:25|-|This man was instructed in the |1|way of the Lord, and being |a|fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he knew |2|only the |b|baptism of John.
Acts|18:26|-|And this man began to speak boldly in the synagogue. And when Priscilla and |a|Aquila heard him, they took him to themselves and expounded the |b|way of God to him more accurately.
Acts|18:27|-|And when he intended to pass through into Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and |a|wrote to the disciples to welcome him; and when he arrived there, he helped much through |1b|grace those who had believed;
Acts|18:28|-|For he vigorously confuted the Jews publicly, showing by the |a|Scriptures that Jesus was the |b|Christ.
