Acts|2:9|-|Parthians and |a|Medes and |b|Elamites and those dwelling in |c|Mesopotamia, both in Judea and |d|Cappadocia, in |e|Pontus and |f|Asia,
Acts|2:10|-|Both in |a|Phrygia and |b|Pamphylia, in |c|Egypt and the parts of |d|Libya around |e|Cyrene, and the sojourning of Rome, both Jews and |1|proselytes,
Acts|2:11|-||a|Cretans and |b|Arabians, we hear them speaking in our |1|tongues the magnificent works of God?
Acts|2:12|-|And they were all |a|amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, What does this mean?
Acts|2:13|-|But others |a|jeered and said, They are full of |1|new wine!

a. |Explaining the economical filling of the Holy Spirit — vv.|14-21
Acts|2:14|-|But Peter, standing with the |1|eleven, lifted up his voice and spoke forth to them: |2|Men of Judea, and all who are dwelling in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.
Acts|2:15|-|For these men are not |a|drunk, as you suppose, for it is the |1|third hour of the day;
Acts|2:16|-|But this is what is spoken through the prophet Joel:
Acts|2:17|-||a|“And it shall be in the |1b|last days, says God, that I will |2c|pour out |3|of My Spirit |4|upon |5|all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall |6d|prophesy, and your young men shall see |e|visions, and your old men shall dream things in dreams;
Acts|2:18|-|And indeed upon My slaves, both men and women, I will pour out of My |a|Spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy.
Acts|2:19|-|And I will |1|show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
Acts|2:20|-|The |a|sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the |b|great and notable |1c|day of the Lord comes.
Acts|2:21|-|And it shall be that everyone who |1|calls on the |2|name of the Lord shall be |3a|saved.”
b. |Witnessing of Jesus in His work, death, resurrection, and ascension — vv.|22-36
Acts|2:22|-||1|Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus the |a|Nazarene, a |2|man |3|shown by God to you to be approved by works of power and wonders and |b|signs, which God did through Him in your midst, even as you yourselves know—
Acts|2:23|-|This man, |a|delivered up by the |1b|determined counsel and |2|foreknowledge of God, you, through the hand of |3|lawless men, |c|nailed to a |4|cross and |d|killed;
Acts|2:24|-|Whom |1|God has |a|raised up, having loosed the pangs of |b|death, since it was |2|not possible for Him to be held by it.
Acts|2:25|-|For David says regarding Him, |1a|“I saw the |2|Lord continually before me, because |3|He is on my right hand, that I may not be shaken.

Acts|2:32|-|This Jesus |1|God has |a|raised up, of |2|which we all are |b|witnesses.
Acts|2:33|-|Therefore having been |a|exalted to the |b|right hand of God and having received the |1|promise of the Holy |c|Spirit from the Father, He has |d|poured out this which you both see and hear.
Acts|2:34|-|For David did |1|not |a|ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, |b|“The |2|Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My |3|right hand
Acts|2:35|-|Until I |1|set Your enemies as a footstool for Your feet.”
Acts|2:36|-|Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made Him both |1a|Lord and |b|Christ, this Jesus whom |2|you have |c|crucified.
