<= | Chapter 4 of 6 | =>
Eph.|4:1|-|I beseech you therefore, |1|I, the |2a|prisoner |b|in the Lord, to |3c|walk worthily of the |d|calling with which you were |e|called,
Eph.|4:2|-|With all |1a|lowliness and |b|meekness, with |c|long-suffering, bearing one another in |d|love,
Eph.|4:3|-|Being diligent to |1|keep the |2a|oneness of the Spirit in the uniting |3b|bond of |c|peace:
Eph.|4:4|-||1|One |a|Body and one Spirit, even as also you were called in one |2b|hope of your |c|calling;
Eph.|4:5|-|One |1a|Lord, one |2b|faith, one |c|baptism;
Eph.|4:6|-|One |1a|God and |b|Father of |2|all, who is |3|over all and through all and in all.
Eph.|4:7|-||1|But to each one of us |2a|grace was given according to the |3b|measure of the |c|gift of Christ.
Eph.|4:8|-|Therefore the Scripture says, “Having |a|ascended to the |1|height, He led captive |2|those taken captive and gave |3b|gifts to men.”
Eph.|4:9|-|(Now this, “He |a|ascended,” what is it except that He also descended into the |1b|lower parts of the earth?
Eph.|4:10|-|He who descended, He is also the One who ascended |a|far above all the heavens that He might |1b|fill all things.)
Eph.|4:11|-|And He Himself gave |1|some as |a|apostles and some as |b|prophets and some as |c|evangelists and some as |2|shepherds and |d|teachers,
Eph.|4:12|-|For the |1a|perfecting of the saints |2|unto the work of the |3b|ministry, |2|unto the |4c|building up of the |d|Body of Christ,
Eph.|4:13|-|Until we all |1|arrive at the |2a|oneness of the |b|faith and of the full |c|knowledge of the |3d|Son of God, at a |4e|full-grown man, at the measure of the stature of the |5f|fullness of |3|Christ,
Eph.|4:14|-|That we may be no longer |1a|little children tossed by |2|waves and carried about by every |3|wind of |b|teaching in the |4|sleight of men, in |c|craftiness with a view to a |5|system of error,
Eph.|4:15|-|But |1|holding to truth in |2a|love, we may |3b|grow up into Him in all things, who is the |4c|Head, Christ,
Eph.|4:16|-||1|Out from whom |a|all the Body, being |2b|joined together and being |2|knit together through every |3c|joint of |4|the rich supply |5|and through the |6|operation in the |d|measure of |7|each one part, |8|causes the |9e|growth of the Body unto the |f|building up of itself in |10g|love.
Eph.|4:17|-|This therefore I say and |1|testify |a|in the Lord, that you no longer |2b|walk as the |c|Gentiles also |d|walk in the |3e|vanity of their mind,
Eph.|4:18|-|Being |1a|darkened in their understanding, alienated from the |2b|life of God because of the |3c|ignorance which is in them, because of the |4d|hardness of their heart;
Eph.|4:19|-|Who, |1a|being past feeling, have |b|given themselves over to lasciviousness to work all uncleanness in greediness.
Eph.|4:20|-|But you did not so |1a|learn Christ,
Eph.|4:21|-|If indeed you have heard Him and have been |a|taught in Him as the |1b|reality is in Jesus,
Eph.|4:22|-||1|That you |2a|put off, as regards your |3|former manner of life, the |4b|old man, which is being corrupted according to the lusts of |5|the deceit,
Eph.|4:23|-|And that you be |1a|renewed in the |2b|spirit of your mind
Eph.|4:24|-|And |1a|put on the |2b|new man, which was |c|created according to |3|God in |4d|righteousness and |4e|holiness of |5|the |f|reality.
Eph.|4:25|-||1|Therefore having |a|put off the |2b|lie, speak |2c|truth each one with his neighbor, for we are |d|members one of another.
Eph.|4:26|-|Be |1a|angry, yet do |b|not sin; do not let the |c|sun go down on your |2d|indignation,
Eph.|4:27|-|Neither |1|give place to the |a|devil.
Eph.|4:28|-|He who steals should |1a|steal no more, but rather should |2b|labor, working with his own |c|hands in |3|that which is respectable, that he may have something to |2d|share with him who has need.
Eph.|4:29|-|Let no |1a|corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for |2b|building up, according to the need, that it may give |3c|grace to those who hear.
Eph.|4:30|-|And do not |1a|grieve the Holy |2|Spirit of God, |3|in whom you were |4b|sealed |5|unto the day of |6c|redemption.
Eph.|4:31|-|Let all bitterness and anger and wrath and clamor and evil speaking be |a|removed from you, with all malice.
Eph.|4:32|-|And be |a|kind to one another, |1b|tenderhearted, |2c|forgiving one another, even as |3|God in Christ also |4|forgave you.
