Eph.|5:1|-|Be therefore |1a|imitators of God, as beloved children;
Eph.|5:2|-|And |a|walk in |1b|love, even as |2|Christ also |c|loved |3|us and gave Himself up for us, an |4|offering and a |4d|sacrifice to God for a |5e|sweet-smelling savor.
Eph.|5:3|-|But |1a|fornication and all uncleanness or greediness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for |2|saints,
Eph.|5:4|-|And |a|obscenity and foolish talking or sly, filthy jesting, which are not becoming, but rather the |1b|giving of thanks.
Eph.|5:5|-|For this you |1|realize, |2|knowing that every fornicator or unclean person or greedy person (who is an idolater) has no inheritance in the |3a|kingdom of Christ and of God.
Eph.|5:6|-|Let no one deceive you with |a|vain words, for because of these things the |b|wrath of God is coming upon the |c|sons of disobedience.
Eph.|5:7|-|Therefore do not be |a|partakers with them;
Eph.|5:8|-|For you were |a|once |1b|darkness but are now |1c|light |d|in the Lord; |2e|walk as |3f|children of light
Eph.|5:9|-|(For the |a|fruit of the light consists in all |1|goodness and |b|righteousness and |c|truth),
Eph.|5:10|-||a|Proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.
Eph.|5:11|-|And do not |a|participate in the |1|unfruitful |b|works of darkness, but rather even |2c|reprove them.
Eph.|5:12|-|For the things which are done by them in secret it is shameful even to speak of.
Eph.|5:13|-|But all things which are |1a|reproved are made manifest by the light; for everything that makes |b|manifest is light.
Eph.|5:14|-|Therefore He says, |a|Awake, |1|sleeper, and |b|arise from the |c|dead, and |2|Christ will |d|shine on you.
Eph.|5:15|-||1|Look therefore carefully how you |a|walk, not as unwise, but as |b|wise,
Eph.|5:16|-||1a|Redeeming the time, because the |2b|days are evil.
Eph.|5:17|-|Therefore do not be foolish, but |1a|understand what the |b|will of the Lord is.
Eph.|5:18|-|And do not be |1|drunk with |a|wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be |1b|filled in |c|spirit,
Eph.|5:19|-||1|Speaking to one another in |2a|psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and psalming with your heart to the Lord,
Eph.|5:20|-||a|Giving thanks |1|at all times for all things |2|in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to our God and Father,
Eph.|5:21|-|Being |1a|subject to |2|one another in the |3|fear of Christ:
Eph.|5:22|-||1a|Wives, be |b|subject |2|to your |3|own husbands as to the Lord;
Eph.|5:23|-|For a husband is |1a|head of the wife as also Christ is |b|Head of the church, He Himself being the |2|Savior of the Body.
Eph.|5:24|-||1|But as the church is subject to Christ, so also let the wives be subject to their husbands in |2|everything.
Eph.|5:25|-|Husbands, |1a|love your wives even |2|as Christ also |b|loved the church and gave Himself up for her
Eph.|5:26|-|That He might |1a|sanctify her, cleansing her by the |2b|washing of the |3|water in the |4c|word,
Eph.|5:27|-|That He might |1a|present the |2b|church to Himself |3|glorious, not having |4|spot or wrinkle or any such things, but that she would be |5c|holy and |d|without blemish.
Eph.|5:28|-|In the same way the husbands also ought to |a|love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his own wife loves himself.
Eph.|5:29|-|For no one ever hated his own flesh, but |1a|nourishes and |b|cherishes it, even as Christ also the church,
Eph.|5:30|-|Because we are |a|members of His |b|Body.
Eph.|5:31|-||a|For this cause a man shall |1|leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall be |2b|one flesh.
Eph.|5:32|-|This |a|mystery is great, but I speak with regard to |1|Christ |b|and the church.
Eph.|5:33|-|Nevertheless you also, each one of you, in the same way |a|love |1|your own wife as yourself; and the wife should |2b|fear her husband.
