Isa.|52:1|-||a|Awake! Awake! Put onYour strength, O Zion;
Put on your beautiful garments,O Jerusalem, O |b|holy city;
For the uncircumcised and the |c|uncleanWill no longer come into you.
Isa.|52:2|-|Shake yourself from the dust; arise,Sit down, O Jerusalem;
Loose yourself from the bonds on your neck,O captive daughter of Zion.
Isa.|52:3|-|For thus says Jehovah, You are those who have been |a|sold for nothing, and you will be |b|redeemed without money.
Isa.|52:4|-|For thus says the Lord Jehovah, At first My people went down to |a|Egypt to sojourn there; then the |b|Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
Isa.|52:5|-|Now then what do I have here, declares Jehovah, since My people have been taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them howl, declares Jehovah, and My name is continually |a|blasphemed all day long.
Isa.|52:6|-|Therefore My people will know My name; therefore in that day they will know that I am He who speaks; here I am.
Isa.|52:7|-||a|How beautiful on the mountainsAre the |b|feet of him who brings good news,
Of him who announces peace, who brings news of good things,Who announces salvation;
Of him who says to Zion, |1|Your God reigns!
Isa.|52:8|-|The voice of your watchmen! They lift up their voice;They give a ringing shout together;
For they will see with their very own eyesWhen Jehovah restores Zion.
Isa.|52:9|-|Break forth, give a ringing shout together,You wasted places of Jerusalem,
For Jehovah has comforted His people,He has redeemed Jerusalem.
Isa.|52:10|-|Jehovah has bared His holy |1|armIn the sight of all the nations,
And all the ends of the earth will seeThe |a|salvation of our God.
Isa.|52:11|-||a|Depart! Depart! Go out from |1|there!Do not touch any unclean thing!
Go out from the midst of her! Cleanse yourselves,You who bear the |2|vessels of Jehovah!
Isa.|52:12|-|For you will not go out in haste,And you will not go in flight;
For Jehovah will |a|go before you,And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.
Isa.|52:13|-|Indeed, My |1a|Servant will act |2|wisely and will prosper;He will be |3b|exalted and lifted up and very high.
Isa.|52:14|-|Even as many were astonished at |1|Him—His |2|visage was |a|marred more than that of any man,
And His form more than that of the sons of men—
Isa.|52:15|-|So will He |1|surprise many nations;Kings will |1|shut their mouths because of Him;
|a|For what had not been |2|recounted to them they will see,And what they had not |b|heard of they will contemplate.
