a. |His dynamic redemption through His vicarious death and reproductive resurrection53:1-12
Isa.|53:1|-||a|Who has believed our |1|report?And to whom has the |b|arm of Jehovah been |1|revealed?Isa.|53:2|-||1|For He grew up like a tender |2|plant before Him,And like a |a|root out of dry ground. He has no |3|attracting form nor |b|majesty that we should look upon Him,Nor beautiful appearance that we should desire Him.Isa.|53:3|-|He was |a|despised and forsaken of men,A man of |1|sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their faces,He was despised; and we did not esteem Him.Isa.|53:4|-||a|Surely He has |1|borne our |2|sicknesses,And carried our |2|sorrows;|3|Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,Smitten of God and afflicted.Isa.|53:5|-||1|But He was |a|wounded because of our transgressions; He was crushed because of our iniquities; The chastening for our peace was upon Him,And by His |b|stripes we have been |2|healed.Isa.|53:6|-|We all like |a|sheep have gone astray; Each of us has turned to his own way,And Jehovah has caused the iniquity of |1|us allTo |2|fall on Him.Isa.|53:7|-|He was |1|oppressed, and it was He who was afflicted,Yet He did |a|not open His mouth;|b|Like a lamb that is led to the slaughterAnd like a sheep that is dumb before its shearers,So He did not open His mouth.
Isa.|53:8|-||1a|By oppression and by judgment He was taken away; And as for His |2|generation, who among them had the thoughtThat He was |b|cut off out of the land of the livingFor the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due?Isa.|53:9|-|And they |1|assigned His grave with the wicked,But with a |a|rich man in His |2|death,Although He had done |3|no violence,Nor was there any |b|deceit in His mouth.Isa.|53:10|-|But Jehovah was pleased to crush Him, to afflict Him with grief. When He makes Himself an |1a|offering for sin,He will see a |2|seed, He will |3|extend His |b|days,And the |4|pleasure of Jehovah will prosper in His hand.Isa.|53:11|-|He will see the |1|fruit of the travail of His soul,And He will be |2|satisfied;By the |3|knowledge of Him, the righteous One, My |a|Servant, will |4|make themany |b|righteous,And He will |c|bear their iniquities.
Isa.|53:12|-|Therefore I will divide to Him a |a|portion with the |1|Great,And He will divide the |2|spoil with the |1|Strong;Because He |b|poured out His |3|life unto deathAnd was |4c|numbered with the transgressors,Yet He alone |d|bore the sin of manyAnd |4e|interceded for the transgressors.
