2. |The organism of the Triune God in the divine dispensing15:1-16:4
a. |The vine and the branches being an organism to glorify the Father by expressing the riches of the divine life15:1-11
John|15:1|-|I am the |1|true |a|vine, and My Father is the |2|husbandman.
John|15:2|-|Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes it away; and every branch that bears fruit, He |1|prunes it that it may bear more fruit.
John|15:3|-|You are already |a|clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
John|15:4|-||a|Abide in Me and I |b|in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit |1|of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
John|15:5|-|I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears |a|much fruit; for apart from Me you can do |b|nothing.
John|15:6|-|If one does not abide in Me, he is |1a|cast out as a branch and is dried up; and they gather them and cast them into the |b|fire, and they are |c|burned.
John|15:7|-|If you abide in Me and My |1a|words abide in you, |2|ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.
John|15:8|-|In this is My Father |1a|glorified, that you bear much fruit and so you will become My |b|disciples.
John|15:9|-|As the Father has |a|loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.
John|15:10|-|If you |1|keep My |a|commandments, you will abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
John|15:11|-|These things I have spoken to you that My |1|joy may be in you and that your |a|joy may be made full.
b. |The branches loving one another to express the divine life in fruit-bearing15:12-17
John|15:12|-|This is My |a|commandment, that you |b|love one another even as I have loved you.
John|15:13|-|No one has greater love than this, that one |a|lay down his |1|life for his friends.
John|15:14|-|You are My |a|friends if you do what I command you.
John|15:15|-|No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all the things which I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.
John|15:16|-|You did not choose Me, but I |a|chose you, and I |1|set you that you should |2|go forth and |b|bear fruit and |3|that your fruit should |4|remain, that whatever you |5c|ask the Father in My name, He may give you.
John|15:17|-|These things I command you that you may |1a|love one another.
c. |The vine and the branches, separated from the world, being hated and persecuted by the religious world15:18-16:4
John|15:18|-|If the world |a|hates you, know that it has |b|hated Me before you.
John|15:19|-|If you were |1|of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are |a|not |1|of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
John|15:20|-|Remember the word which I said to you, A slave is not |a|greater than his master. If they have |b|persecuted Me, they will |c|persecute you also; if they have kept My word, they will keep yours also.
John|15:21|-|But all these things they will do to you because of My |a|name, because they do |b|not know Him who sent Me.
John|15:22|-|If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have |a|sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
John|15:23|-|He who |a|hates Me hates My Father also.
John|15:24|-|If I did not do among them the |a|works which no one else has done, they would not have |b|sin; but now they have both seen and hated both Me and My Father.
John|15:25|-|But it is so that the word written in their law may be fulfilled, |a|“They hated Me without cause.”
John|15:26|-|But when the |a|Comforter comes, whom I will |b|send to you |1c|from the Father, the |d|Spirit of reality, who proceeds |1|from the Father, He will |e|testify concerning Me;
John|15:27|-|And |a|you testify also, because from the beginning you have been with Me.
