Jonah|2:1|-|Then Jonah prayed to Jehovah his God from the stomach of the fish,
Jonah|2:2|-|And he said,I |a|called out because of my distressTo Jehovah, and He answered me;From the belly of |1b|Sheol I cried out for help;You heard my voice.
Jonah|2:3|-|You flung me into the |a|depths, into the heart of the sea,And the flood surrounded me;|b|All Your breakers and Your billowsPassed over me.Jonah|2:4|-|Therefore I said, I |a|have been driven outFrom before Your eyes;Yet I will look again|b|Toward Your holy temple.Jonah|2:5|-|Water encompassed me, even to my soul;The deep surrounded me;Seaweed was wrapped about my head.
Jonah|2:6|-|To the bottom of the sea mountains I went down;The earth with its bars was around me forever.Then You |a|have brought up my life from the |1|pit,O Jehovah my God.Jonah|2:7|-|When my soul fainted within me,I remembered Jehovah,And my prayer |a|came to YouIn Your holy temple.Jonah|2:8|-|Those who regard empty vanitiesForsake the lovingkindness to them;Jonah|2:9|-|But I will |a|sacrifice to YouWith the voice of thanksgiving;That which I have vowed I will fully pay.|b|Salvation is of Jehovah.Jonah|2:10|-|And Jehovah spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out onto the dry land.
