Matt.|10:1|-||a|And He called His |1|twelve disciples to Him and gave them |2|authority over unclean spirits, so that they would cast them out and |b|heal every disease and every sickness.
Matt.|10:2|-||a|And the names of the twelve |1|apostles are these: first, |b|Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; and |c|James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
Matt.|10:3|-||a|Philip and Bartholomew; |b|Thomas and |1c|Matthew the |2|tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and |3|Thaddaeus;
Matt.|10:4|-|Simon the |1|Cananaean, and Judas |2a|Iscariot, who also |3|betrayed Him.
Matt.|10:5a|-|These twelve Jesus |a|sent forth, charging them,
Matt.|10:5b|-|saying, Do not go into the way of the |1b|Gentiles, and do not enter into any city of the |1c|Samaritans.
Matt.|10:6|-|But go rather to the lost |a|sheep of the house of |b|Israel.
Matt.|10:7|-|And as you go, proclaim, saying, The |a|kingdom of the heavens has |1|drawn near.
Matt.|10:8|-||a|Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. |b|Freely you have received; freely give.
Matt.|10:9|-||a|Do |1|not acquire for yourselves gold nor silver nor copper for your belts;
Matt.|10:10|-|No bag for the journey nor two tunics nor sandals nor a staff; for the |a|worker is worthy of his food.
Matt.|10:11|-|And into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy; and there remain until you depart.
Matt.|10:12|-|And as you enter into the house, greet it.
Matt.|10:13|-|And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
Matt.|10:14|-|And whoever does not receive you nor hear your words, as you go out of that house or city, |a|shake off the dust from your feet.
Matt.|10:15|-|Truly I say to you, It will be |1|more tolerable for the land of |a|Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
Matt.|10:16|-|Behold, I send you forth as |a|sheep in the midst of |b|wolves. Be therefore |1|prudent as |c|serpents and guileless as |d|doves.
Matt.|10:17|-|And |a|beware of men, for they will |1|deliver you up to |2b|sanhedrins, and in their synagogues they will |c|scourge you.
Matt.|10:18|-|And you will also be brought before |1|governors and |a|kings for My sake, for a |b|testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
Matt.|10:19|-||a|But when they deliver you up, do not be |b|anxious about how or what you should speak, for it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;
Matt.|10:20|-|For you are not the ones speaking, but the |1a|Spirit of your Father is the One speaking in you.
Matt.|10:21|-|And |1|brother will deliver up brother to death, and father his child; and |a|children will rise up against their parents and put them to death.
Matt.|10:22|-|And you will be |a|hated by all because of My name. But he who has |b|endured to the end, this one shall be |1|saved.
Matt.|10:23|-|And when they persecute you in this |a|city, |b|flee into another. For truly I say to you, You shall by no means |1|finish the cities of Israel until the |c|Son of Man comes.
Matt.|10:24|-|A |a|disciple is not |1|above the teacher, nor a |b|slave above his master.
Matt.|10:25|-|It is sufficient for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the Master of the house |1a|Beelzebul, how much more those of His household!
Matt.|10:26|-||a|Therefore do not fear them; for there is nothing |b|covered which will not be revealed, and |c|hidden which will not be made known.
Matt.|10:27|-|What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, proclaim on the |a|housetops.
Matt.|10:28|-|And do not |a|fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather |b|fear |1|Him who is able to |c|destroy both soul and body in |2d|Gehenna.
Matt.|10:29|-|Are not two sparrows sold for an |1|assarion? And not one of them will fall to the earth apart from your Father.
Matt.|10:30|-|But even the |a|hairs of your head are all numbered.
Matt.|10:31|-|Therefore do not fear; you are of |a|more value than many sparrows.
Matt.|10:32|-|Everyone therefore who will |a|confess |1|in Me before men, I also will |b|confess |2|in him before My Father who is in the heavens;
Matt.|10:33|-|But whoever will |1a|deny Me before men, I also will |1|deny him before My Father who is in the heavens.
Matt.|10:34|-||a|Do not think that I have come to bring peace on the earth; I have not |1|come to bring peace, but a sword.
Matt.|10:35|-|For I have come to set men at variance: a man against his |a|father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
Matt.|10:36|-|And a man’s |a|enemies will be those of his |1|household.
Matt.|10:37|-|He who loves |a|father or mother |1|above Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter above Me is not worthy of Me;
Matt.|10:38|-|And he who does not |1|take his |a|cross and |b|follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
Matt.|10:39|-|He who |1|finds his |a|soul-life shall |1|lose it, and he who loses his soul-life for My sake shall find it.
Matt.|10:40|-|He who |1a|receives you receives Me, and he who |b|receives Me receives Him who has sent Me.
Matt.|10:41|-|He who |1a|receives a |2|prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who |1|receives a |2|righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
Matt.|10:42|-|And whoever gives to one of these |a|little ones only a |b|cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his |1|reward.
