Matt.|24:1|-||a|And Jesus came out |1|from the |2|temple and was going away, and His disciples came to Him to show Him the buildings of the |2|temple.
Matt.|24:2|-|But He answered and said to them, Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, There shall by |a|no means be left here a stone upon a stone, which shall not be |1|thrown down.
Matt.|24:3|-||a|And as He sat on the |1b|Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, |2|When will these things be? And what will be the |c|sign of Your |3d|coming and of the |e|consummation of the age?
Matt.|24:4|-|And Jesus |1|answered and said to them, |2|See that no one |a|leads you astray.
Matt.|24:5|-|For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and they will lead many astray.
Matt.|24:6|-|And you will be hearing of |1|wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for it must happen; but the |2a|end is not yet.
Matt.|24:7|-|For |1|nation will rise up |a|against nation, and |1|kingdom against kingdom; and there will be |2b|famines and |3|earthquakes in various places.
Matt.|24:8|-|All these things are the beginning of |1|birth pangs.
Matt.|24:9|-|Then they will deliver |1|you up to |a|tribulation and will |b|kill you, and you will be |c|hated by all the nations because of My name.
Matt.|24:10|-|And at that time many will be stumbled and will deliver up one another and will hate one another.
Matt.|24:11|-|And many |a|false prophets will arise and will lead many astray.
Matt.|24:12|-|And because lawlessness will be multiplied, the |a|love of the many will grow cold.
Matt.|24:13|-|But he who has |a|endured to the end, this one shall be |1|saved.
Matt.|24:14|-|And this |1a|gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole inhabited earth for a |2|testimony to all the nations, and then the |3b|end will come.
Matt.|24:15|-||1a|Therefore when you see the |2b|abomination of |3c|desolation, which was spoken of through |d|Daniel the prophet, standing in the |4|Holy Place (let him who reads |e|understand),
Matt.|24:16|-|Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains;
Matt.|24:17|-|Let him who is on the |a|housetop not come down to take the things out of his house;
Matt.|24:18|-|And let him who is in the field not turn back to take his garment.
Matt.|24:19|-|But woe to those who are |1|pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days.
Matt.|24:20|-|And pray that your flight may not be in |1|winter, nor on a |2|Sabbath,
Matt.|24:21|-|For at that time there will be |1a|great tribulation, such as has not occurred from the beginning of the world until now, nor shall by any means ever occur.
Matt.|24:22|-|And unless those days had been cut |1|short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the |2a|chosen, those days will be cut short.
Matt.|24:23|-|At that time if anyone says to you, Behold, |a|here is the |1|Christ! or, Here! do not believe it.
Matt.|24:24|-|For |1a|false Christs and |2b|false prophets will arise and will |3|show great |c|signs and wonders so as to lead astray, if possible, even the |d|chosen.
Matt.|24:25|-|Behold, I have told you beforehand.
Matt.|24:26|-||a|Therefore if they say to you, Behold, He is in the |1|wilderness, do not go forth; Behold, He is in the |2|inner rooms, do not believe it.
Matt.|24:27|-|For just as the |1|lightning comes forth from the east and shines to the west, so will the |2a|coming of the Son of Man be.
Matt.|24:28|-|Wherever the |1a|corpse is, there will the |1|vultures be gathered together.
Matt.|24:29|-||a|And immediately |1|after the tribulation of those days, the |2|sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Matt.|24:30|-|And at that time the |1a|sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the |2b|tribes of the |2|land will |3|mourn, and they will see the |c|Son of Man coming |4d|on the clouds of heaven with |5|power and great glory.
Matt.|24:31|-|And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will |1a|gather His |b|chosen together from the |c|four winds, from one end of the |d|heavens to the other end.
Matt.|24:32|-||1a|But learn the parable from the |2b|fig tree: As soon as its branch has |3|become tender and |4|puts forth its leaves, you know that the |5|summer is near.
Matt.|24:33|-|So also you, when you see |1|all these things, know that |2|it is near, at the doors.
Matt.|24:34|-|Truly I say to you that this |1a|generation shall by no means pass away until all these things happen.
Matt.|24:35|-|Heaven and earth will |a|pass away, but My |b|words shall by no means pass away.
Matt.|24:36|-|But concerning that |a|day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of the heavens nor the |1|Son, but the Father only.
Matt.|24:37|-||a|For just as the |1|days of Noah were, so will the |b|coming of the Son of Man be.
Matt.|24:38|-||1|For as they were in those days before the flood, |2|eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day in which |a|Noah entered into the ark,
Matt.|24:39|-|And they did not know that judgment was coming until the flood came and took all away, so also will the |a|coming of the Son of Man be.
Matt.|24:40|-||1a|At that time two |2|men will be |3|in the field; one is |4|taken and one is left.
Matt.|24:41|-|Two |1|women will be |2|grinding at the mill; one is |3|taken and one is left.
Matt.|24:42|-||1a|Watch |b|therefore, for you do not know on what day |1|your Lord comes.
Matt.|24:43|-|But know this, that if the |1|householder had known in which watch the |2a|thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have allowed his |1|house to be broken into.
Matt.|24:44|-|For this reason you also be |a|ready, because at an hour when you do not expect it, the Son of Man is |1|coming.
Matt.|24:45|-|Who then is the |1a|faithful and |1|prudent slave, whom the master has set over his |2|household to |3|give them food at the proper time?
Matt.|24:46|-||1|Blessed is that slave whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.
Matt.|24:47|-|Truly I say to you that he will |a|set him |1|over all his possessions.
Matt.|24:48|-|But if that |1|evil slave says in his heart, My master |a|delays,
Matt.|24:49|-|And begins to |1|beat his fellow slaves and |2|eats and drinks with the |a|drunken,
Matt.|24:50|-|The master of that slave will come on a |a|day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know,
Matt.|24:51|-|And will |1|cut him asunder and appoint his |2|portion with the |3|hypocrites. In that place there will be the |4a|weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
