A. |Resurrected — vv.|1-15
Matt.|28:1|-||a|Now late on the Sabbath, as it began to |1|dawn toward the |2b|first day of the week, |c|Mary the Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave.
Matt.|28:2|-|And behold, there was a great |1|earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended out of heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it.
Matt.|28:3|-|And his appearance was like |a|lightning, and his garment as |b|white as snow.
Matt.|28:4|-|And for fear of him the guards shook and became like dead men.
Matt.|28:5|-|And the angel answered and said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you are seeking Jesus, the crucified.
Matt.|28:6|-||1|He is not here, for He has been |a|raised, even as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.
Matt.|28:7|-|And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has been raised from the dead, and behold, He goes before you into |1a|Galilee. There you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.
Matt.|28:8|-|And they went away quickly from the tomb with |1|fear and great joy and ran to report this to His disciples.
Matt.|28:9|-|And behold, Jesus |1|met them, saying, |2|Rejoice! And they came to Him and took hold of His feet and |a|worshipped Him.
Matt.|28:10|-|Then Jesus said to them, Do not be afraid. Go and report to My |1a|brothers that they should go into |2b|Galilee, and there they will see Me.
Matt.|28:11|-|And as they were going, behold, some from the |a|guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all that had happened.
Matt.|28:12|-|And after the chief priests had gathered with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,
Matt.|28:13|-|Saying, Say this, |1|His disciples came by night and |a|stole Him away while we slept.
Matt.|28:14|-|And if this comes to the |a|governor’s ears, we will |1|persuade him and make sure that you have nothing to worry about.
Matt.|28:15|-|And they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this account has been widely |1|spread among the Jews until this very day.
B. |Reigning — vv.|16-20
Matt.|28:16|-|And the eleven disciples went to |a|Galilee, to the |1|mountain where Jesus directed them.
Matt.|28:17|-|And when they saw Him, they |a|worshipped Him, though some |1|doubted.
Matt.|28:18|-|And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All |1|authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Matt.|28:19|-|Go |1|therefore and |2|disciple all the |a|nations, |3|baptizing them |4|into the |5|name of the |6|Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Matt.|28:20|-||1|Teaching them to |a|observe all that I have |b|commanded you. And behold, I am |2c|with you all the days until the |3d|consummation of the age.
