6. |Concerning the principles of the kingdom people in dealing with others7:1-12
Matt.|7:1|-||1a|Do |2|not judge, that you be not judged.
Matt.|7:2|-|For |1|with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged; and with what |a|measure you measure, it shall be measured to you.
Matt.|7:3|-|And why do you look at the |a|splinter which is in your brother’s eye, but the beam in your eye you do not |1|consider?
Matt.|7:4|-|Or how can you say to your brother, Let me remove the splinter from your eye, and behold, the beam is in your eye?
Matt.|7:5|-||1a|Hypocrite, first remove the beam from your eye, and then you will |2|see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother’s eye.
Matt.|7:6|-|Do not give |1|that which is |a|holy to the |2b|dogs, neither cast your |1c|pearls before the |2d|hogs, lest they trample them with their feet, and turn and tear you.
Matt.|7:7|-||1a|Ask and it shall be given to you; |b|seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.
Matt.|7:8|-|For everyone who |1|asks receives, and he who |2|seeks finds, and to him who |3|knocks it shall be opened.
Matt.|7:9|-|Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks him for a |a|loaf, will give him a stone?
Matt.|7:10|-|Or also when he asks for a |a|fish, will give him a serpent?
Matt.|7:11|-|If you then being |a|evil know how to give good gifts to your children, |1|how much more will your Father who is in the heavens give |2b|good things to those who ask Him!
Matt.|7:12|-|Therefore all that you wish men would |a|do to you, so also you do to them; for this is the |1b|law and the prophets.
7. |Concerning the ground of the kingdom people's living and work7:13-29
Matt.|7:13|-||1|Enter in through the |a|narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that |2|leads to |3b|destruction, and many are those who enter through it.
Matt.|7:14|-|Because |1a|narrow is the |b|gate and constricted is the |c|way that leads to |2|life, and |d|few are those who find it.
Matt.|7:15|-|Beware of |a|false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are |1|ravenous |b|wolves.
Matt.|7:16|-|By their |a|fruits you will recognize them. Do men gather grapes from thorns, or |b|figs from thistles?
Matt.|7:17|-|Even so every |a|good tree produces |b|good fruit, but the corrupt tree produces |c|bad fruit.
Matt.|7:18|-|A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
Matt.|7:19|-|Every tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and |a|cast into the fire.
Matt.|7:20|-|So then, by their |a|fruits you will recognize them.
Matt.|7:21|-|Not everyone who says to Me, |a|Lord, Lord, will |1b|enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he who |c|does the |d|will of My Father who is in the heavens.
Matt.|7:22|-|Many will say to Me in |1|that day, Lord, Lord, was it not in Your name that we prophesied, and in Your name |a|cast out demons, and in Your name did many |b|works of power?
Matt.|7:23|-|And then I will declare to them: I never |1a|knew you. |b|Depart from Me, you workers of |c|lawlessness.
Matt.|7:24|-||a|Everyone therefore who hears these words of Mine and |b|does them shall be likened to a |c|prudent man who built his house upon the |1d|rock.
Matt.|7:25|-|And the |1|rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew, and they beat against that house; and it did |2|not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
Matt.|7:26|-|And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does |a|not do them shall be likened to a foolish man who built his house upon the |1|sand.
Matt.|7:27|-|And the |a|rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew, and they dashed against that house; and it |1|fell, and its fall was great.
Matt.|7:28|-|And when Jesus finished these words, the crowds were |a|astounded at His teaching,
Matt.|7:29|-|For He taught them |a|as One having |1b|authority and not like their scribes.
