Psa.|41:Title|-|To the choir director. A |a|Psalm of David
Psa.|41:1|-|Blessed is he who considers the |a|poor;In the day of evil Jehovah will deliver him.
Psa.|41:2|-|May Jehovah keep him and preserve him alive;May he be |1|blessed in the land;
And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.
Psa.|41:3|-|Jehovah will sustain him on his sickbed;You make all his bed in his illness.
Psa.|41:4|-|I said, O Jehovah, be gracious to me;Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.
Psa.|41:5|-|My enemies speak evil against me:When will he die and his name perish?
Psa.|41:6|-|And if he comes to see me, he speaks falsehood.His heart gathers iniquity to itself;
When he goes out, he speaks it.
Psa.|41:7|-|All who hate me whisper together against me;Against me they devise my misfortune.
Psa.|41:8|-||1|Some evil illness, they say, has been poured out on him;And when he lies down, he will not rise again.
Psa.|41:9|-||1|Even my familiar |a|friend, in whom I trusted,|b|Who |c|ate my bread, has lifted his heel against me.
Psa.|41:10|-|But You, O Jehovah, be gracious to me and raise me upThat I may |1|recompense them.
Psa.|41:11|-|By this I know that You delight in me,That my enemy has not shouted in triumph over me.
Psa.|41:12|-|And as for me, You uphold me in my |1|integrity,And You set me in Your presence forever.
Psa.|41:13|-||a|Blessed be Jehovah the God of Israel,From eternity to eternity.
|b|Amen and Amen.
