E. |In receiving the believers14:1-15:13
1. |According to God's receiving14:1-9
Rom.|14:1|-||1|Now him who is |a|weak in faith |2b|receive, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his |3|considerations.
Rom.|14:2|-|One believes that he may eat all things, but he who is weak |a|eats vegetables.
Rom.|14:3|-|He who eats, let him |1|not despise him who does not eat; and he who does not eat, let him |1|not judge him who eats, for |2|God has received him.
Rom.|14:4|-|Who are you who judge another’s household servant? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will be made to stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
Rom.|14:5|-|One judges one |a|day above another; another judges every day alike. Let each be fully |b|persuaded in his own mind.
Rom.|14:6|-|He who regards that day, regards it to the Lord; and he who eats, |a|eats to the Lord, for he gives |b|thanks to God; and he who does not eat, does not eat to the Lord, and he gives thanks to God.
Rom.|14:7|-|For none of us |a|lives to himself, and none dies to himself;
Rom.|14:8|-|For whether we live, we |a|live to the Lord, and whether we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore whether we live or we die, we are the |b|Lord’s.
Rom.|14:9|-|For Christ |a|died and lived again for this, that He might be |b|Lord both of the dead and of the living.
2. |In the light of the judgment seat14:10-12
Rom.|14:10|-|But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the |1a|judgment seat of God,
Rom.|14:11|-|For it is written, |a|“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall openly confess to God.”
Rom.|14:12|-|So then each one of us will |a|give an account concerning himself to God.
3. |In the principle of love14:13-15
Rom.|14:13|-|Therefore let us |a|judge one another no longer, but rather judge this: |b|not to put a stumbling block or cause of falling before your brother.
Rom.|14:14|-|I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that there is |a|nothing |1|unclean of itself, except to him who considers something to be |1|unclean; to that man it is |1|unclean.
Rom.|14:15|-|For if because of food your brother is |1|wounded, you no longer |a|walk according to love. Do not |b|destroy by your food that man for whom Christ died.
4. |For the kingdom life14:16-23
Rom.|14:16|-|Therefore do not let your |a|good be slandered;
Rom.|14:17|-|For the |1a|kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but |2b|righteousness and |c|peace and |d|joy in the Holy Spirit.
Rom.|14:18|-|For he who |1a|serves Christ in this is well pleasing to God and approved by men.
Rom.|14:19|-|So then let us |1a|pursue the things of peace and the things for |b|building up one another.
Rom.|14:20|-|Do not |a|break down the |1|work of God for the sake of food. |b|All things indeed are clean, but it is evil for a man to eat while |c|stumbling others.
Rom.|14:21|-|It is good |a|not to eat meat nor drink wine nor to do anything by which your brother stumbles.
Rom.|14:22|-|The faith which you have, have to yourself before God. Blessed is he who does not judge himself in what he approves;
Rom.|14:23|-|But he who |a|doubts is condemned if he eats, because it is not out of faith; for all that is not out of faith is sin.
